Zelensky Labels Crimea a Hub for Forcing Peace as Russian Army Exploits Its Power Grid.
Crimea’s Power Grid Under Russian Military Control
According to Espreso.tv: Ivan Kyrychevsky, a weapons expert with Defense Express and a member of the 413th Separate Battalion of the Special Operations Forces 'Reid,' has detailed how the Russian military is repurposing Crimea’s electrical network for its own operations. He stated that Russian forces are neglecting civilian needs and instead channeling electricity to sustain various military installations. A new incident involving substations in Crimea occurred yesterday, signaling the ongoing militarization of the region’s energy resources.
Impact of Ukrainian Strikes and the Situation in Crimea
Kyrychevsky also highlighted that Ukrainian strikes are significantly disrupting the logistics and energy infrastructure of occupying forces in Crimea. He noted that many people are working through the night without rest to secure positive developments from the front lines. The struggle for air superiority remains intense and exhausting, but there is confidence that Ukrainian forces will ultimately prevail.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated: 'Crimea is the center of the policy to compel Russia to end the war.'
This underscores Crimea’s strategic role in Ukraine’s efforts to regain control of the territory and counter Russian aggression. Meanwhile, shipbuilding continues at the 'Zaliv' plant in Crimea, a further indication of the occupiers’ military ambitions.
The situation in Crimea remains tense, with energy resources being actively diverted for military purposes and ongoing Ukrainian strikes that continue to hamper enemy logistics. The Russian military’s use of the power grid for its own needs highlights the scale of aggression and the potential risks to civilians. The relentless efforts of Ukrainian forces to control the region reflect Crimea’s critical importance in the current war. President Zelensky’s push for international pressure on Russia may prove decisive in shaping future events in the area.
