According to ТСН: A Russian agent was detained in Kyiv, who committed a terrorist act by blowing up a military vehicle.

Details of the crime

The perpetrator turned out to be a 24-year-old woman living in Obolon. She committed the crime on January 4, looking for part-time work on social networks. Last autumn, she received an offer of cooperation from an FSB representative. For carrying out the terrorist act, she was promised a reward of 1,500 dollars, but she never received the money.

Under his guidance, the woman made an explosive device and placed it under a military Land Rover vehicle. She also installed a hidden camera to record events in real-time. When the serviceman approached his car, the explosion occurred.

Consequences of the explosion

The 30-year-old serviceman sustained a mine-explosive injury and shrapnel wounds to his leg. His companion suffered an injury to her right wrist and bruises on her face. Both suffered as a result of the explosion, receiving bodily harm, including shrapnel wounds and a concussion.

Detention and further actions

The suspect was detained at a shopping and entertainment center where she hid after committing the crime. She faces imprisonment for a term of five to ten years for the terrorist act.

In addition, the woman is suspected of arson of the serviceman's vehicle that occurred last December.

In the context of this case, it is worth noting that recently several individuals have been detained in Kyiv on suspicion of planning terrorist acts. This indicates the activation of law enforcement agencies in counteracting threats to national security and fighting against espionage activities in Ukraine.
