Four people, including a child, died on ice in Ukraine over the past day.
According to ТСН: Over the last day, several tragic incidents occurred on winter water bodies in Ukraine, resulting in the deaths of four people, including a minor boy.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, these misfortunes happened in several regions, including Lviv, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kirovohrad oblasts. Particularly sad news came from Kirovohrad region, in the village of Rubany Mist in Novoukrainka district. During the search for a missing boy born in 2013, rescuers found his body in a body of water.
“Be careful — do not go out on the ice. Due to temperature fluctuations, it is deadly dangerous. Take care of yourself and your children!”
Additionally, on January 2, an emergency event occurred in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kyiv: local residents discovered the body of a woman with no signs of life near the Syrets River during a walk.
These incidents highlight the danger of stepping onto thin ice in winter. The situation on the water bodies remains risky, especially considering temperature fluctuations. It is important to remember safety and caution, as life can depend on a single wrong step. Authorities urge citizens to adhere to simple but effective safety rules during winter walks.
