Challenging situation in Kup'yansk
According to inkorr.com: There is unrest in Kup'yansk due to shelling from Russian troops and their attempts to break through using sabotage and reconnaissance groups. This was reported by the head of the city military administration Andriy Besedin in an interview with the 'Apostroph' channel.
"95% of the city has been damaged or destroyed. Currently, there is not a single intact building in Kup'yansk, neither in the private sector nor in high-rise buildings," Besedin noted.
He added that about 1700 civilians are in difficult conditions without electricity, water, gas, and communication, and most of them are forced to live in basements. Only 714 people remain in the right bank part of the city, who find themselves in a dangerous situation that threatens their lives every minute.
Actions of Ukrainian military on the front line
Besedin emphasized that police and military are doing everything possible to evacuate the residents of the city, but many of them refuse to leave their homes. He also reported attempts by Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups to enter Kup'yansk in civilian clothes. A counter-sabotage operation is ongoing in the city, conducted by the Ukrainian military.
