Russia Storms Kupiansk: What is the Real Situation on the Front.
Russian troops are trying to break into the center of Kupiansk
According to inkorr.com: Viktor Tregubov, head of the communications department of the joint forces, denied statements about the encirclement of Kupiansk by Russian troops. According to him, the Russians are currently focused only on the northern edge of the city and are trying to break into its center. Tregubov voiced this information during a telethon, as noted by 'Glavkom'.
“Currently, the Russians are concentrated on the northern end of the city. They are trying to bypass from one side and break through from the other directly to the center. Small group tactics are being used, hiding in buildings, trying to accumulate critical mass and make a breakthrough. They are receiving supplies mainly through drones,” Tregubov explained.
Tregubov also denied information about the encirclement, emphasizing that it does not correspond to reality. “Local residents ask: if Kupiansk is surrounded, why does the Ukrainian defense continue? The Russians, on the other hand, claim that the 'encirclement' supposedly allows them to strike at Ukrainian logistics using drones,” he noted.
Competition of Ukrainian Drones with Russian FPV Drones
Tregubov added that while Russian FPV drones can operate at distances of up to 40 km from the front line, Ukrainian drones can operate at the same distance. “Our logistics are indeed complicated due to constant attacks, but it remains stable. The Russians absolutely have none,” he noted.
Every day, several groups of Russian troops infiltrate Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region, disguising themselves as civilians. Ukrainian military officials warn of the threat to the civilian population and urge residents to evacuate.
The situation in Kupiansk remains tense. A sharp increase in military activity raises concerns among local residents, and it is important for the relevant authorities to ensure the safety of civilians and provide timely information about current threats. Each day brings new challenges, and the Ukrainian military is ready to respond to them under any circumstances.
