Ivan Bezzub, a major in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was killed on March 8, 2022, near the village of Kuliashyntsi as a result of shelling by Russian troops. He was born on July 7, 1995, in Stara Kostyantynivka, Khmelnytskyi region.

“While performing a combat flight mission to repel the armed aggression of the Russian Federation, the crew of the Mi-24 helicopter of our brigade was killed, consisting of: Lieutenant Colonel Maryniak Oleksandr Myroslavovych and Captain Bezzub Ivan Romanovych,” the press service of the 16th separate brigade of army aviation 'Brody' reported.

Ivan Bezzub graduated from the Kharkiv National Air Force University named after Ivan Kozhedub and served in the 16th brigade of army aviation. He was awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi of the III degree for his devotion and courage.

Ukrainians honor the memory of those killed by Russian invaders by lighting candles and observing a moment of silence. These heroes sacrificed their lives for the freedom and independence of Ukraine, and we will always remember their contribution.
