French President Emmanuel Macron remarked to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about the need to comply with the United Nations (UN) decision.

Macron pointed to the UN General Assembly vote in November 1947, which ended the British mandate in Palestine and divided the land into Jewish and Arab states.
In recent days, Macron and Netanyahu have been making sharp efforts in statements regarding the rising tension between Israel and "Hezbollah", which threatens to involve Lebanon and its civilian population.
Recently, the French president called for a halt to arms supplies to Israel in an interview with French radio, which prompted a protest from Netanyahu.
Macron’s statement about not ignoring the UN decision relates to the situation in southern Lebanon and Israeli fire on UN peacekeepers, which was condemned by 40 countries in a statement on Saturday.
As a result of the incident in southern Lebanon, where two UN personnel were injured, Paris summoned the Israeli ambassador to France.
French Minister for the Armed Forces, Sebastien Lecornu, confirmed this warning on Tuesday, saying that Israel is not complying with the UN resolutions.
