Elon Musk in the Trump administration will be responsible for fighting bureaucracy.
President Donald Trump announced the creation of a new position for Elon Musk aimed at fighting bureaucracy in government structures.
Trump made this announcement on the social network Truth Social.
According to the President-elect, Elon Musk and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy will head the new Department of Government Efficiency.
'These two great Americans will chart a new course for my administration aimed at addressing issues of government bureaucracy, reducing excessive regulation, cutting waste, and restructuring federal agencies,' Trump said.
He stated that the Department of Government Efficiency will develop advice and recommendations, working with the White House and the Office of Management and Budget to implement comprehensive structural reforms and cultivate an entrepreneurial approach to management.
'It is crucial that we eliminate the massive waste and fraud in our annual $6.5 trillion state spending,' added the President.
According to him, these reforms must be completed by July 4, 2026, and will be an ideal gift to America on its 250th Independence Day proclamation.
