A Series of Accidents in Southern Finland Due to Severe Weather Conditions
According to inkorr.com: Severe weather conditions have caused a series of car accidents in southern Finland. Heavy icing and thick fog in the Lahti area significantly complicated the situation on the roads. For example, in the Nelostie zone, there was an accident involving 40 vehicles. As a result, 12 people were injured, two of whom are in serious condition.
Among the participants in the accident was a journalist from Yle, who reported that the fog suddenly covered the road, and it instantly turned into an ice rink.
In another part of the region, a truck with a tank overturned, leading to another series of collisions involving a dozen vehicles. The road has been temporarily closed in both directions. Currently, police and rescuers are working at the accident sites and are urging drivers to be extremely cautious due to the dangerous weather conditions.
This series of road accidents in southern Finland has resulted in injuries and significant material damage. The police warn drivers to exercise caution and follow traffic rules to avoid similar incidents in the future. The situation on the roads remains complicated, so it is important to take weather conditions into account during trips.
