MELOVIN's Tour Abruptly Cancelled
According to TSN.ua: Following a recent incident in Rivne where protests targeted the LGBTQ+ community, organizers have cancelled singer MELOVIN's tour across Ukraine, citing overriding safety concerns. The announcement was made on Instagram, with the team stating that the safety of everyone involved is their top priority.
The concerts, which were scheduled for the following cities, will no longer take place:
- Lutsk
- Ternopil
- Zhytomyr
- Chernihiv
- Bila Tserkva
Organizers have confirmed that ticket refunds are available at the original point of purchase.
MELOVIN addressed the situation, stating that threats of violence against anyone attending his concert were completely unacceptable. He expressed his profound frustration, remarking:
“It's so f***ed up, it's actually embarrassing”— MELOVIN.
This cancellation highlights the growing societal tensions in Ukraine regarding LGBTQ+ issues, fueled by protests and social conflict.
