Friedrich Merz, the leader of the German opposition and candidate for chancellor from the conservative CDU/CSU bloc, stated in Kyiv that Vladimir Putin, the Russian dictator, will only go to negotiations when Ukraine is able to defend itself. Merz reported this on his Twitter page.
Merz is now in Kyiv. He stated that he came to the capital of Ukraine to gain information about the situation in the country and to learn about the issues where Germany can provide assistance.
The war in Ukraine must end as soon as possible. Putin will only go to negotiations when Ukraine is able to defend itself.
It is worth reminding that Trump, Macron, Tusk, and other world leaders reacted to the changes in the regime in Syria.
