Discussion of winter payments

At the session of the Humanitarian Response Platform, officials discussed winter payments for residents of frontline areas. UNICEF allocated more than 10 million dollars, while the International Committee of the Red Cross allocated about 5 million, fulfilling their obligations to households in this zone. This has helped 32 thousand families, or approximately 90 thousand people, prepare for the cold.

Areas of assistance

The payments are intended to meet basic needs, such as heating and insulating housing. In the near future, the UNHCR and other organizations will begin distributing funds both within and outside the frontline zone.

Part of international support

The winter payment project is part of international support for Ukraine amid the war when frontline regions face resource shortages. Further payments are expected to reach even more families, providing stability during this difficult period.

This payment program is extremely important as it helps people survive during wartime and ensures comfortable conditions during the cold season. With international support, Ukraine hopes for the successful implementation of this initiative, which will alleviate difficulties for many Ukrainian families.
