Starting from 2026, the salary threshold for reserving employees will increase: new amounts.
According to ТСН: In Ukraine, starting January 1, 2026, new rules for reserving military personnel workers will come into effect. Now enterprises will be able to keep their employees in their jobs only if their official salary meets the new increased requirements.
Changes in salary requirements
According to the new rules, for reserving, employees must earn at least 21.6 thousand hryvnias per month, which is an increase compared to the current requirements of 20 thousand hryvnias.
This is related to the increase in the minimum wage, according to the state budget for the next year, which will amount to 8,647 hryvnias. According to the formula established in the reserving rules (minimum wage × coefficient 2.5), enterprises must ensure payments at the level of at least 21,617 hryvnias.
Requirements for critically important enterprises
As noted by lawyer Marina Bekalo, these requirements apply to employees of critically important enterprises that can obtain reservation during mobilization and martial law.
If a company does not comply with the established level of wages, it will lose the right to reservation, and its military personnel workers will not have a deferment from mobilization.
The introduction of new salary requirements for reserving military personnel workers reflects the growing need to ensure fair compensation for key staff in the context of military situations. This decision aims to increase the responsibility of enterprises and stability in the labor market during challenging times. Companies that do not meet the new requirements may face serious consequences for their personnel potential.
