Possible Russian attack on one of the NATO countries. The Alliance does not guarantee an automatic response.
The former head of NATO's Military Committee Rob Bauer stated that a possible Russian attack on Estonia may not trigger an automatic military intervention from allies, if it does not threaten the territorial integrity of the country. NATO will first conduct consultations and determine whether to go to war with Russia, depending on the situation and the level of threat.
So far, the defense forces together with the State Center for Defense Investments have begun construction of the Baltic defense line in the southeastern part of Estonia. The plan includes the construction of anti-tank trenches, bunkers, and storage sites to strengthen the region's defense capability.
This news reveals NATO's approaches to the possible situation regarding Russian aggression and emphasizes the importance of consultations and efforts to enhance defense capabilities in the region to ensure peace and stability.
