You Can Lose Your Pension: What Ukrainians Need to Do to Avoid Losing Payments.
Ukrainians were told how to pass online identification for pension recipients among IDPs.
Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets reminded about this.
In particular, Ukrainians who registered as IDPs before February 24, 2022, and receive their pension through "Oschadbank" branches need to undergo physical identification.
The Office of the Ombudsman of Ukraine published an infographic developed jointly with a charity fund explaining how to undergo identification.
Who needs to undergo physical identification?
Those who registered as IDPs before 24.02.2022 and receive their pension through "Oschadbank" branches need to undergo physical identification. This process is carried out once every 6 months free of charge.
There are several ways to undergo physical identification:
- Personally visit the "Oschadbank" branch or the Pension Fund of Ukraine service center with an identity document.
- Verify identity on the PFU electronic services web portal using "Dія.Підпис".
- Verify identity via video conferencing with a PFU representative.
How to undergo physical identification if you live abroad?
If you live abroad, contact the embassy or consulate of Ukraine to obtain a document confirming your identity.
Then send this document to the territorial body of the PFU where you are registered, by mail or through the PFU electronic services web portal.
How to sign up for video identification at PFU?
You can apply for video identification by calling the PFU contact center or filling out an electronic form on the PFU electronic services web portal. You do not need to have EDS or register a cabinet for this.
When submitting the application, you need to attach scanned copies of documents such as a passport, work book, and birth certificate.
After submitting the application, you will receive an email and a call from the PFU with details about conducting video identification.
We remind you that from August, the conditions for pensioners in Ukraine have changed.
