We strive to raise a new generation of Ukrainians. Let us remember Stepan Sozanskyi.
Every day at 9 AM, Ukrainians honor the memory of all those whose lives were taken by the Russian-Ukrainian war. Today, let us remember Stepan Sozanskyi.
On November 16, during a combat mission near the village of Romanyvka in Donetsk, a defender from the Starosambir community, Stepan Sozanskyi, was killed. This was reported by the Sambir District State Administration.
Stepan was born and raised in the village of Volia in the Starosambir community. According to Volyanskyi village head Volodymyr Marych, he was one of the best students at the local school and graduated with excellent marks. He studied at the Sambir Pedagogical College. He worked as an informatics teacher in the Zakarpattia region, where his uncle resides.
«Since June 2023, Stepan went to war. He had a good heart and a wise head. He was an extraordinary person, a warrior. His comrades relied on him. He trained in England, mastered drone operation well, and taught his comrades. His smile, kindness, and wise advice will remain forever in our hearts,» recalls the village head.
Stepan was the eldest of three sons of the couple Tetiana and Roman Sozanskyi, who instilled in their children the true values that God and Ukraine come first!
«Three weeks ago, he was on leave. He did not even finish it; from the front, they called saying the situation was dire and help was needed. Stepan was always ready to help his comrades. His knowledge helped carry out many successful operations at the front. He worked at the command-observation point, set up cannons, and operated drones. While he was home, he tried to visit everyone, to meet and talk – both with relatives and friends and acquaintances. His dream was to raise a new generation of Ukrainians,» said the warrior's uncle, Father Ihor Toporovych.
On November 19, 2024, the hero returned home for the last time. The defender of Ukraine found eternal peace at the cemetery in his native Volia.
«Glavkom» joins in a moment of silence. We honor the memory of all Ukrainians who died in the struggle for their homeland. We remember those killed by Russian aggressors, lighting candles of memory and bowing our heads in sorrow during the nationwide moment of silence, honoring the bright memory of Ukrainian citizens who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of the state: all military personnel, civilians, and children, all who perished in the fight against Russian occupiers and as a result of attacks by enemy forces on Ukrainian cities and villages.
