According to Novyny.live: Ihor Khozhaniyazov, a resident of Vinnytsia, lost his life while carrying out a combat mission on June 28, 2023. The tragedy occurred when a guided aerial bomb struck directly on Ukraine's Constitution Day. Serving as a senior sailor, Ihor Khozhaniyazov leaves behind three sons.

Originally from Vinnytsia, Ihor Khozhaniyazov was deeply involved in the cultural scene alongside his military service. He co-founded the literary group 'Novy Shynok' and was a member of the band Mashala Doza. His creative work inspired many, and his friends and colleagues will continue to write about his legacy.

Ihor Khozhaniyazov will be laid to rest in the village of Zarvantsi on the Alley of Defenders of Ukraine. His wife, Olena Shykura, shared her emotions in a moving tribute:

“Now I will mourn and raise our three sons. I was happy with you every single day of our nearly thirteen years together. Thank you, fate, for this priceless gift. We accomplished so much together, yet so little. You could have done so many truly useful and remarkable things in the fields you were passionate about and where you excelled brilliantly, inspiring so many. Grief is like an ocean. I love you and will search for meaning, my beloved. Honor to you.”
