Train Warsaw–Kyiv hits a person in Kyiv region: police investigate the tragedy.
According to ТСН: In the village of Vorzel in the Kyiv region, a man died as a result of being struck by a train running on the Warsaw–Kyiv route. Unfortunately, he died on the spot.
Details of the tragic incident
According to law enforcement, a 50-year-old local resident was crossing the railway tracks through the crossing and, unfortunately, did not respond to the signals from the train driver.
"The train driver applied emergency braking, but the collision could not be avoided," the message said.
As a result of the injuries sustained, the man died at the scene.
The police have initiated a pre-trial investigation into the violation of traffic safety or operation of railway transport regulations (part 3 of Article 276 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
"The Kyiv region police once again urges citizens to be attentive and careful near railway tracks. Remember: failure to comply with the rules can have tragic consequences," the law enforcement officials emphasized.
