Ukrainian troops attacked the command post of the Russian separate brigade in Lygov
In Lygov, located in the Kursk region, Ukrainian troops carried out an attack on the command post of the 810th separate brigade of the maritime infantry of the Russian Federation. As reported by the Strategic Communications Department of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, this command post was located in an abandoned civilian building.
Alexander Khinshtein, who is acting as the head of the Kursk region, reported on the attack by Ukrainian troops on the city of Lygov. According to him, as a result of this, civilian objects and infrastructure of the city were damaged, and four people were killed. Emergency teams are currently working on restoring gas and electricity supply in the damaged buildings.
Pro-Kremlin Telegram channels reported that missiles struck a sugar factory, a thermal power plant, a residential building, and a gas pipeline. It was noted that the command post of the 810th brigade of the RF Armed Forces was located near the sugar factory.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation did not report the shelling of Lygov. Earlier, on December 25, the department reported the destruction of 59 Ukrainian drones.
It is also worth mentioning that the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation recognized that the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked the S-400 air defense system and the 'Kursk-East' airfield. Ukrainian troops struck the positions of the S-400 anti-aircraft missile system, resulting in damage to a radar station and injuries to Russian servicemen.
Earlier, the Defense Forces struck the positions of the anti-aircraft missile division of the Russian Federation in the Kursk region.
