After the attack on Lviv Oblast: gas supply disruptions started in the village of Rudno.
According to ТСН: After a Russian strike on Lviv Oblast on the night of January 9, 2026, problems with gas supply arose in the village of Rudno.
Deputy of the Lviv City Council Ihor Zinkevych reported that local residents found themselves in a difficult situation: there is virtually no gas. The flames on gas stoves barely flicker, and gas boilers are extinguishing and cannot be ignited due to the lack of pressure in the network.
Lack of official confirmations
Currently, there are no official statements from gas services regarding the causes and scale of these issues.
Possible reasons for the attack
According to preliminary unconfirmed information from monitoring channels, the possible targets of the Russian attack could have been the Stryi gas field and the underground gas storage.
Glow over the region
Additionally, local media report a glow over the Lviv Oblast. It is being considered whether these events could be related to the gas supply disruptions and the Russian attack.
Information will be updated.
It is reminded that earlier in Kyiv, an air raid alert was also announced, creating additional threats for the capital. Residents of Kyiv are advised to remain in shelters until the alert is lifted.
These events underline the tense situation in the region caused by Russian attacks, which continue to affect infrastructure and the daily lives of local residents. Ongoing strikes and their consequences require increased attention to the safety of the population and proper response from the relevant services.
