Time on Mars Flows Faster: Scientists Calculate Exact Difference with Earth.

Neal Ashby and Bijunat Patla from the National Institute of Standards and Technology of the USA conducted calculations to determine the time difference between Mars and Earth. They took into account the weaker gravitational force on Mars, which is five times lower than on Earth, as well as the speed and elliptical shape of Mars' orbit around the Sun, along with the gravitational influence of the Sun, Earth, and Moon.
The theory of relativity states that clocks can run faster or slower depending on the place in the gravitational field and the speed of movement. This phenomenon is known as time dilation.
Features of Time on Mars
The situation on Mars is somewhat different: since the planet is located further from the Sun, its rotation occurs more slowly, and time passes more slowly. However, due to the elliptical orbit, Mars sometimes moves faster and sometimes slower when it approaches or recedes from the Sun. The varying distance to the gravitational fields of the Sun and the Earth-Moon system also affects the passage of time.
It was previously reported that life on Mars could have existed longer than previously thought. Scientists agree that there was once water and a thicker atmosphere on Mars, but the exact boundaries of the planet's 'era of life' remain a topic of discussion.
