The flight recorder discovered at the plane crash site in Kazakhstan.
As a result of the Azerbaijan Airlines plane crash, the black box was found, reported the chief transport prosecutor of Kazakhstan, Timur Suleimanov.
The Minister of Transport of Kazakhstan, Marat Karabaev, stated that the found flight recorder will be used as evidence in the criminal investigation. Contact with the aircraft was lost at 11:28.
Additionally, it is known that there are no Kazakhs among the survivors, and there were six passengers on board.
Two pilots died in the crash, but three crew members survived. Earlier, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan reported that all crew members were killed.
The Embraer aircraft, which was flying from Baku to Grozny, crashed at Aktau airport. There were 67 passengers and 5 crew members on board, including citizens of Azerbaijan, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.

The preliminary cause of the crash established by Rosaviation is a collision with birds. Due to an emergency situation on board, the captain decided to land at an alternate airport, which was chosen as Aktau. Furthermore, an oxygen tank exploded on the downed aircraft, causing passengers to lose consciousness.
