230 thousand students from Odesa region prepare for September 1: which schools will operate in person.
More than 230 thousand students from Odesa region are preparing for the new academic year, of which almost 18 thousand will go to school for the first time. Special attention has been given to safety issues in educational institutions.
Oleg Kiper, the head of Odesa OVA, reported this.
Preparation for the academic year
This academic year, in-person learning will be more widespread, but safety is not forgotten. New shelters are currently being actively built and existing ones are being expanded to ensure the safety of students and educators.
'All measures are being taken to protect children and teachers. Over time, fewer schools are transitioning to exclusively remote learning. Podilskyi and Izmail districts have made progress in this regard, and there are no plans for educational institutions to work exclusively remotely here', officials from Odesa OVA noted.
