In Poltawa, a driver was pulling sleds with children behind his car: A girl was seriously injured.
According to ТСН: In Poltawa, a young man attached a sled with children to his car and pulled them through the snow, resulting in one of the girls being seriously injured.
The police of Poltava oblast reported that on December 28, they received a notification from doctors about the injury of a 15-year-old girl during sledding in the village of Wyrischalne, Mirhorod district. An investigation was initiated.
An investigation team arrived at the scene. During the investigation, it was found that a local resident, born in 2004, pulled a sled with passengers behind his vehicle around 11:00 PM on December 27. Due to the dangerous actions, the girls sustained serious injuries and were taken to a medical facility in Poltava for treatment.
The investigators initiated a criminal proceeding under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
Call for Safety
The police of Poltava urge citizens to follow safety regulations and not to risk their lives. Reminder:
- The use of vehicles to pull sleds, tubes, or other recreational devices is categorically prohibited;
- Winter games should only take place in specially designated and safe areas, away from roads;
- Adults are responsible for the lives and health of children;
