A man suspected of murdering an acquaintance has been arrested in Vinnytsia region.

A man suspected of fatally beating an acquaintance has been detained in the Khmilnytskyi district. This was reported by the Main Directorate of the National Police in Vinnytsia region.

During an argument, the offender inflicted bodily injuries on the victim, which led to his death. The incident occurred on February 2-3 in the village of Cherepashyntsi of Kalynivka territorial community.

During a joint alcohol consumption, a quarrel broke out between the two men. One of them left the house and inflicted serious bodily injuries on the victim, after which he fled. The homeowner found the wounded and called an ambulance. The victim was taken to the hospital but died from his injuries.

The Khmilnytskyi District Prosecutor's Office has informed the suspect of the suspicion of committing a crime under Part 2 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (intentional grievous bodily harm resulting in the victim's death). This article provides for up to 10 years of imprisonment.
