A man in Transcarpathia organized a shooting near the building of the military registration and enlistment office, reports 'Suspilne'.
Law enforcement detained a man who fired several shots into the air with a blank pistol.
“As a result of the incident, no one was harmed. The man was held administratively liable under Article 173 of the Code of Administrative Offenses,” said a spokesperson for the National Police in the Transcarpathian region.
The detainee turned out to be a former military man who left the Armed Forces due to health problems. According to journalists, the man fired because he was dissatisfied with not being mobilized.
National Deputy Yuliya Yatsyk proposes to liquidate the territorial recruitment centers and create more than 10 brigades from their employees to carry out combat tasks at the front. The Ministry of Defense is already working on creating recruitment centers to replace the military registration and enlistment offices.
Deputy Commander of the Third Separate Assault Brigade Maksym Zhorin expressed his opinion on this proposal, calling it 'empty populism, not worth discussing'. His opinion is that the problem is not with the structure of the military registration and enlistment offices, but with their corruption.
The spokesman for the Poltava Regional Military Registration and Enlistment Office Roman Istomin stated that it is impossible to create a brigade from the employees of the military registration and enlistment offices since they are civilian personnel.
According to the spokesman of the Ministry of Defense Dmytro Lazutkin, there are 36 thousand people working in the military registration and enlistment offices, of which nearly 7 thousand are civilian employees.
