Military Personnel Injured in Attack on Odesa Recruitment Center.
Assault on Odesa Recruitment Center
According to Novyny.live: On February 15, 2023, in the Kyiv district of Odesa, an attack occurred against personnel of the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center (TRC) while they were checking military registration documents. Several servicemen sustained physical injuries and were hospitalized; some suffered chemical burns to their eyes from the use of tear gas. These incidents highlight the volatile environment surrounding Ukraine's ongoing mobilization efforts.
This was not an isolated event. The day before, on February 14, 2023, another attack on a TRC employee took place, where a man stabbed a serviceman. These events have raised serious concerns about the safety of military personnel and the effectiveness of their work during mobilization preparations.
Official and Public Reaction
According to the Odesa Regional TRC, instead of complying with the lawful demands of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a crowd engaged in mass obstruction of state activities related to mobilization. During the assault, an official vehicle and video recording equipment were also damaged, complicating the documentation of the incident.

Authorities have pledged to take measures to punish those involved in these incidents to ensure the safety of servicemen and restore order in the execution of their duties. Further steps in the investigation will focus on identifying the perpetrators and holding them accountable. The situation in Odesa may prompt a review of security approaches for public institutions and military facilities across the country, as ensuring the safety of military personnel is critical for maintaining national stability.
