MP from 'Servant of the People' leaves the faction - what is the reason.

People's Deputy Dmytro Kostiuk announced on Thursday, July 31, his plans to leave the 'Servant of the People' faction. The reason is the vote on the bill to deprive NABU and SAP of independence.

In a message from Yaroslav Zheleznyak on Telegram, it was noted that Deputy Kostiuk Dmytro decided to leave the 'Servant of the People' faction due to the vote regarding the suffering of NABU and SAP. Zheleznyak explained that Kostiuk was pressured to vote, threatened, and even an example of 'with Shabunin' was used.

Recently, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Law Enforcement supported a bill to restore the independence of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office.

Today, July 31, the parliament also plans to consider other bills related to these bodies.

The event indicates the fragmentation of political views among participants in party structures and tension in the process of making important decisions by the Ukrainian parliament.
