Descendant of a well-known Cossack family in Kherson region. Let's remember Ivan Yegorov.
Every day at 9 am, Ukrainians honor the memory of all those whose lives were taken by the Russian-Ukrainian war. Today we remember Ivan Yegorov.
On October 26, 2024, while on a combat mission to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state in the Donetsk region, defender from Kherson region Ivan Yegorov was killed. This was reported by the Lviv City Council.
Ivan Yegorov was born on July 8, 1996, in the village of Kozatske in the Kherson region. He came from a well-known Cossack family of Yegorovs in Kherson region.
He studied at Lyceum No. 1 named after Oleksandr Dovzhenko of Novokakhovka City Council. Later he entered the Novokakhovka Polytechnic Professional College of the National University "Odessa Polytechnic".
He received higher education at Odessa Polytechnic in the field of "Electrical Engineering and Electrical Technologies". Here he also obtained a master's degree in "Electrical Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Electromechanics".
Upon completing his studies, he engaged in car trading.
With the onset of the full-scale invasion, Ivan Yegorov's family was forced to leave their home. In 2022, he moved to Lviv with his pregnant wife. Here, he started working in the restaurant sector, was passionate about fishing, and actively participated in sports, particularly rafting, skiing, and ice skating. He was interested in literature and, according to his family, loved all living things. He adored his little son.
Later, Ivan Yegorov joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He performed combat missions to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state in the Donetsk region as part of the 79th Separate Air Assault Brigade of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In the army, the defender had the call sign Hora.
The warrior was killed on October 26, 2024. The funeral service took place on October 4 at the Garrison Church of Saints Peter and Paul. After the city-wide farewell ceremony at Rynok Square, the defender of Ukraine found eternal peace at Lychakiv Cemetery in Lviv.
Ivan Yegorov is survived by his mother, wife, two-year-old son, sister, relatives, and friends.

We remember those who perished at the hands of Russian invaders, light candles of remembrance, and bow our heads in mourning during the national minute of silence, honoring the bright memory of Ukrainian citizens who laid down their lives for the freedom and independence of the state: all military personnel, civilians, and children, everyone who died in the fight against Russian occupiers and as a result of the enemy forces' attacks on Ukrainian cities and villages.
