Heavy Snowfall and Freezing Weather Await Lviv Region: OVA Issues Recommendations for Residents.
According to ТСН: Severe cold and snowfall are expected in the Lviv region. Due to issues with electricity supply, there may be difficulties in the operation of transport and communal services. Residents of the region are advised to limit their outdoor activities.
This was reported by the Lviv regional military administration.
“In the territory of the Lviv region, significant cold, heavy snowfall, and worsening weather conditions are expected. Combined with planned power outages, this has a comprehensive impact on the functioning of vital systems. In particular, on transport connections and communal facilities.”
In connection with the worsening weather conditions, residents of Lviv region are recommended to:
limit outdoor activities during heavy snowfall and freezing temperatures;
if possible, refrain from traveling during bad weather, planning routes in advance and considering possible delays;
prefer public transport;
prepare in advance with supplies of water, chargers, and warm clothing.
Residents of Lviv region are urged to follow safety rules and monitor official announcements.
As a reminder, the mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovyi, appealed to the residents of the city. He urged Lviv citizens, if possible, not to use their own vehicles. According to the mayor, communal services are working tirelessly due to heavy precipitation.
Earlier, the head of Lviv OVA Maksym Kozytskyi also made an important statement, urging to switch enterprises, institutions, and organizations to remote work mode. The only exception is critical infrastructure facilities.
The worsening weather conditions require residents of Lviv region to pay special attention to their safety. The regional authorities are doing everything possible to support the functioning of vital services, but citizens also need to be cautious and follow recommendations.
