According to Novyny.live: Prosecutors are preparing to bring four individuals from the Ivano-Frankivsk region to trial for running a drug operation that involved manufacturing and shipping narcotics through post offices. Authorities Seize Drugs, Cash, and Weapons
The searches uncovered:
- over 165 kilograms of amphetamine,
- a batch of cannabis,
- and 99 ecstasy tablets.
Investigators also confiscated approximately 1.5 million Ukrainian hryvnias in cash. In the garage of the 37-year-old suspect, they found an automatic rifle, pistols, a pump-action shotgun, grenades, and ammunition. These discoveries highlight the serious and large-scale nature of the criminal enterprise in which the suspects were involved.
The prosecutor's office has filed requests for pre-trial detention measures against the three adult suspects. This case underscores ongoing challenges for Ukrainian law enforcement in tackling organized crime, particularly in the drug trade.
The involvement of a minor and other young adults in such a high-level operation points to deeper social issues that require attention from both authorities and the community. Further investigations may reveal broader criminal networks and their impact on local areas.
