Ukrainians Deemed Unfit for Service Can Now Be Removed from Military Rolls Without Visiting a Recruitment Center.
Updated Regulations for Deregistration: How Unfit Citizens Can Skip In-Person Visits
According to Novyny.live: New legislative amendments have streamlined the process for removing certain individuals from military registration. Citizens officially classified as unfit for military duty can now be deregistered without having to appear in person at a Territorial Recruitment Center (TCC). This change applies to those who have been medically assessed as unable to serve, as well as individuals who have reached the age of 60.
Under the updated rules, physical presence is no longer a mandatory requirement for removal from the military rolls. According to Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 1487, conscripts, reservists, and active-duty personnel are no longer obligated to visit a TCC for this purpose. The reform aims to cut through bureaucratic red tape and make the deregistration process more accessible, especially for those who face mobility challenges or prefer not to travel to a recruitment office.
“The TCC can remove you from the rolls without you being there,” stated Vladyslav Deriy.
These changes are expected to significantly ease the burden on many Ukrainians with health issues or those of retirement age, as they no longer need to spend time visiting government offices to handle administrative formalities. By eliminating the in-person requirement, the new rules allow citizens deemed unfit for service to fulfill their state obligations more quickly and with fewer complications.
The legislative updates represent a key step toward simplifying administrative procedures for individuals who cannot perform military duties due to health or age. This innovation may also reduce the workload on Territorial Recruitment Centers, while making life easier for many Ukrainians who previously encountered difficulties when processing the necessary paperwork.
