Kharkiv Under Attack
According to Novyny.live: Russian forces targeted the Kholodnohirskyi district of Kharkiv during the night of June 19, causing injuries and damaging residential buildings. By 4:15 AM, authorities confirmed that 15 homes and a warehouse had been hit. An update at 5:26 AM raised the tally to at least six wounded and more than 40 damaged houses.
According to Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, as of 5:56 AM, five people had been injured, including three children—two 11-year-old girls and a 14-year-old boy. The previous day, June 18, Russian forces also struck the Kharkiv region with aerial bombs and drones, killing a 72-year-old man in Hrushivka, Kupiansk district.
Regional Situation
Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported the attack, highlighting the severity of the situation. On June 17, the city held a farewell ceremony for rescuers and an emergency services worker, Oleksii Dorozhkin, underscoring the tense atmosphere in the region. The situation remains ongoing, with local authorities continuing to release information about the shelling's aftermath.
This assault is part of the ongoing hostilities in Ukraine, which continue to inflict damage on civilian infrastructure and populations.
