Deadly Attacks on Kharkiv and Chuhuiv
According to Novyny.live: Russian attack drones struck Kharkiv overnight on June 9, leaving at least one person wounded and causing considerable damage across the city. The assault targeted the Shevchenkivskyi and Kholodnohirskyi districts, where windows in a residential building were shattered. As the conflict intensifies in eastern Ukraine, such strikes on civilian areas have become increasingly common.
At the same time, the city of Chuhuiv came under a missile attack that killed five people and injured three others. Approximately eight apartment buildings and more than ten private homes sustained damage. Local emergency services are working to assess the full extent of the destruction and provide aid to those affected.
Oleh Syniehubov reported that 'the scale of destruction and the consequences of the strikes are being determined.'
Halyna Minaieva confirmed that 'five people died as a result of the missile strike.'
The situation remains tense, with local authorities continuing to evaluate damage and support survivors.
