A New Word in Military Art. The Chief of the General Staff Named the Most Successful Operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Ukrainian Troops Liberated Kharkiv Region
The operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region is considered successful, despite the enemy's superiority. This opinion was expressed by the Chief of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, General Anatoliy Burhylevych, in a special interview.
Ukrainian soldiers liberated almost 12,000 square kilometers of the Kharkiv region in the fall of 2022. According to Burhylevych, this was a carefully planned operation that the enemy did not expect.
«We managed to defeat their group in this direction, using limited resources. This autumn operation inspired Ukrainians, our troops were advancing and driving out Russian soldiers!», - emphasized the general.
Burhylevych explained that according to the principles of operational art, for a successful offensive, it is necessary to have a superiority of forces over the enemy of at least 3:1.
«We (the operational-strategic group of troops 'Khortytsia' - 'Glavkom') had attacks in the fall of 2022, and we never had a numerical advantage, yet we still achieved success. This is a new stage in operational art,» - emphasized the general.
Burhylevych also noted that later they managed to liberate part of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions around Sloviansk, although Kreminna remained unreachable.
In the fall of 2022, the Armed Forces of Ukraine began defensive operations in the Kharkiv direction with the aim of returning the occupied territories. On September 10, 2022, Ukrainian troops took control of the city of Kupiansk and published a photo with the Ukrainian flag. That same day, in the city of Balakliia in the Kharkiv region, liberated from Russian invaders, the Ukrainian flag was ceremonially raised.
Latest news indicates that Ukrainian warriors halted the enemy's advance on Kupiansk, destroyed their armored vehicles, and eliminated a significant portion of the enemy.
