NBU warns of rising gasoline prices until the end of 2025: Details

According to inkorr.com: On October 15, 2025, a slight decline in fuel prices was noted at

Ukrainian gas stations
: The average price for gasoline A-95 dropped to 58.74 UAH per liter. However, experts from the National Bank of Ukraine warn that this is only a short-term fluctuation - by the end of 2025, fuel prices will rise again, even if there are no jumps. This is
reported by tsn.

Forecast for the increase in gasoline prices until the end of 2025

According to the NBU's 'Inflation Report', the future increase in the cost of gasoline, diesel, and autogas will occur gradually. The market is currently experiencing a phase referred to by specialists as 'frozen competition' - gas station networks hesitate to lower prices despite the decline in world oil prices while trying to maintain their profitability.

Average fuel prices on October 15

The average fuel prices on October 15 are as follows:

  • Gasoline A-95 - 58.74 UAH/l (a decrease of 3 kopecks in a week);

  • Diesel - 55.90 UAH/l (a decrease of 2 kopecks);

  • Autogas - 34-36 UAH/l.

Fuel prices at major gas station networks

At major networks, the situation is as follows:

  • “Ukrnafta” - A-95: 59.49 UAH/l, Diesel: 56.49 UAH/l, Gas: 34.49 UAH/l;

  • WOG - A-95: 61.99 UAH/l, Diesel: 58.99 UAH/l, Gas: 35.98 UAH/l;

  • BVS - A-95: 59.99 UAH/l, Diesel: 56.99 UAH/l, Gas: 34.69 UAH/l.

Economists believe that the planned price increases at the end of the year will be due to global market developments and a gradual increase in demand in Ukraine. At the same time, the NBU assures that the risks of a sudden price spike are not anticipated - fluctuations remain within the expected inflation.

Earlier, it was reported that

from January 1, 2026, gasoline could become more expensive by 5-7 Hryvnias per liter
even if oil prices and the dollar exchange rate remain stable. This forecast was made by the founder of the Prime Group, Dmitro Leushkin.

Thus, the situation in the fuel market remains dynamic. In times of global change and domestic demand, consumers must be prepared for price fluctuations. What factors will influence the market in the near future remains to be seen, but the expectations of an increase remain relevant.
