Ukraine Tightens Reservation Rules: No More Easy Exemptions via the Reserve+ System.
Conditions and Requirements for Receiving a Mobilization Exemption
According to Novyny.live: To qualify for an exemption from military mobilization, Ukrainian citizens must ensure their electronic military registration document is free of any discrepancies. Only enterprises officially designated as critical during martial law are eligible to grant these exemptions. This process provides a legal means for certain workers to avoid conscription while the country remains under martial law.
Under updated regulations approved by Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers, a citizen can receive a mobilization deferment only if they are not listed as wanted by the Territorial Recruitment Centers (TCC). A key condition is that the individual's data in the 'Reserve+' system must be flawless. Otherwise, they risk being flagged as wanted, which would disqualify them from obtaining an exemption.
Key Changes in the Reservation Process
One of the most significant revisions to the reservation process is a stricter salary requirement: employees must now earn nearly 26,000 hryvnias per month. This measure is designed to support critical enterprises that are authorized to offer deferments. Workers who already have a legal deferment or who hold multiple jobs will only be entitled to a single reservation.
Experts stress the critical need for accurate information within the 'Reserve+' system. Vladyslav Deriy explains:
'If the address in 'Reserve+' is incorrect and you are not registered with your local TCC, the system will view this as a violation of military registration rules. Consequently, you will be placed on the wanted list and will be unable to secure a reservation.' - Vladyslav Deriy
Viacheslav Kyrdа adds, 'This will not directly affect your reservation status, but I still recommend that you update your actual place of residence in 'Reserve+'.'
In summary, to obtain a mobilization exemption through 'Reserve+', citizens must strictly comply with the established requirements and ensure all their personal data is accurate. Under martial law, this issue is especially pressing for those working at enterprises deemed critical to the nation's infrastructure.
The revision of mobilization exemption rules highlights the government's focus on sustaining critical industries during wartime. By raising salary thresholds, authorities aim to ensure that only workers truly essential to the economy receive deferments, thereby helping to preserve jobs and maintain stability amidst the conflict.
