New Rules for Issuing Military Summons: What Has Changed for Those Subject to Military Service

Military lawyer Oleg Leontiev shares news about the updated rules for sending military summons. Now documents will be sent to the registered address after passing the military-medical commission (MMC).

The lawyer explains the innovations

'First, it is important to understand how to act correctly in order to avoid troubles and violations. The first task is to receive a military summons from the TCC for sending to the military unit.'

'Previously, such summons were issued only personally from hand to the person liable for military service against their signature. Now this is possible for everyone'
, - explained the lawyer.

According to Leontiev, the new requirements stipulate that the TCC will send summons to the place of registration of the individual after passing the MMC. He noted that these changes in the document sending procedure changed the approach, which previously occurred centrally and often with errors.

'Now the responsibility for the accuracy of the information lies with those liable for military service. Summons are sent considering two conditions: the first - for individuals who have successfully passed the MMC… And the second - at the declared place of residence'
, - added the legal expert.

It was previously announced that the government adopted a new regulation regarding the issuance of mobilization orders. It was also clarified who does not need to personally contact the TCC to receive the summons.

The submitted news discusses the new rules for sending military summons in Ukraine, which provide for sending documents to the place of registration after the MMC. This simplifies the procedure and places the responsibility for the data on the military conscript themselves. This initiative aims to avoid errors and optimize the process of issuing summons.
