Ukraine's New 2026 Social Benefits: How to Receive Funds via Oschadbank.
Ukraine's Social Benefits System in 2026
According to Novyny.live: Starting in 2026, Ukraine will introduce new social benefit payments for parents, which will be deposited into special accounts at Oschadbank. This initiative is part of the state's broader effort to support families with children, specifically aimed at helping cover childcare costs and ensuring access to preschool education. These changes reflect a significant update to the country's family support policies.
Types of Payments Available
The new benefits package will include the following payments:
- A childcare allowance for children under one year old — 7,000 hryvnias starting January 1, 2026;
- An allowance for families raising children with disabilities — 10,500 hryvnias;
- The 'yeYasla' (e-Nursery) program, providing payments ranging from 8,000 to 16,000 hryvnias.
This financial support is designed to alleviate the material burdens parents face during childcare and to foster better conditions for early childhood development.
The new payments were established by the Ukrainian Law 'On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine Regarding Support for Families with Children.' Subsequently, the Cabinet of Ministers approved Decree No. 169, which outlines the procedure for assigning and disbursing this financial aid to families.
Parents should now focus on the process for opening the necessary account, as these benefits will be credited exclusively to specially opened accounts at Oschadbank. This new requirement aims to make receiving assistance more convenient and transparent for citizens. Consequently, Ukrainian families will be able to access these new social benefits to aid in raising and developing their children.
The introduction of these social benefits is targeted at supporting parents during the crucial early years of child-rearing, addressing contemporary challenges in social policy. These changes could substantially improve the economic situation of families, especially those with children who have disabilities. By channeling payments through Oschadbank, the process of managing these funds may also become simpler for parents.
