New drone attacks on energy facilities: where and how long will the outages last.
As a result of drone attacks on energy facilities, there are new power outages in several regions this morning. Emergency recovery operations are ongoing in all regions affected by the shelling. Energy workers are doing everything possible to restore power to all consumers as quickly as possible. This is reported by Glavkom with reference to Ukrenergo.
State of the energy system
According to inkorr.com: Due to complications in the energy system caused by three massive missile-drone attacks on energy facilities this month, power consumption restrictions are being implemented in Ukraine. Today, October 31, hourly outages are taking place in all regions, ranging from 0.5 to 3 stages. Power limitation schedules are also in effect for industrial consumers across the country.
Ukrenergo reported that the demand for electricity remains at a high level. As of 6:30 a.m., electricity use has decreased by 2.8% compared to the previous day, despite the imposed restrictions.
The need for energy-saving consumption remains today. Please limit the use of powerful electrical appliances until the end of the current day. When electricity appears as scheduled – do not turn on several powerful electrical devices at the same time, the company notes.
Development of energy infrastructure
In Kyiv, the construction of seven mini-CHPs is underway, which are planned to be launched by the end of the year. They are intended to provide power to critical infrastructure facilities in case of emergencies.
Ukrainian energy workers noted that due to attacks on the energy infrastructure, there have been power outages in several regions. Emergency recovery operations are ongoing, and consumers are advised to use electrical appliances sparingly until electricity is restored as scheduled. Attention is also drawn to the necessity of developing the energy system to prevent similar situations in the future.
Problems in the energy sector are caused not only by attacks but also by high demand for electricity, emphasizing the importance of energy-saving consumption. The situation with outages demonstrates how crucial it is to have a reliable energy infrastructure capable of withstanding such loads and challenges.
