FBK found a new palace of Putin in Crimea: a private clinic and a helicopter landing pad.
According to ТСН: Investigators from the Russian Anti-Corruption Foundation discovered a new residence of Vladimir Putin on the Black Sea coast, located in temporarily occupied Crimea. This estate includes a personal clinic with an operating room, a huge spa center, and a helicopter landing pad.
"Initially, there was a boarding house called 'Cape Aya' at the location of this palace. But then Viktor Yanukovych liked the place, demolished everything there, cut down relic trees, and began to build a summer house for himself. After Crimea's annexation by Putin in 2014, Yanukovych's estate was confiscated and transferred to state ownership," investigators write. They note that now there is a real palace here.
The main house occupies an area of over 9,000 square meters, while the guest house is almost 5,000 square meters. The territory also has separate buildings for staff, technical facilities, and a new helicopter landing pad. There is also a waterfront, pier, and an artificial beach with white sand.
The construction of the palace cost about 10 billion rubles (almost 130 million dollars).
"This palace was built with the same money and following the same scheme of 'wallets' as the palace in Gelendzhik. Officially, the object is assigned via a chain of firms. The formal owner is LLC 'Bereh', linked to the company 'Golden Gate' with secret owners. The same lawyers appear in the powers of attorney as in the story with the palace in Gelendzhik — Belkin, Ulyanov, and Shahov. The technical specifications for the interiors explicitly state the requirements of the FSO, which excludes the version of a 'private dacha': the FSO protects only the president," the investigation states.
The key contractor was the 'Kredo' company, which was responsible for the construction and maintenance of Putin's residences in Gelendzhik, Valdai, and Krasnaya Polyana.
Investigators published floor plans and photos of the interiors of the palace — of the main and guest houses.
Interiors of the palace
In the main house on the upper floor, there is a large bedroom, in the far corner of which there is an 'irradiator-air recirculator', used in medical facilities.
In the bathrooms, each measuring 50 square meters, there is marble on the floors and walls, stairs, railings, and a jacuzzi — everywhere there is gilding.
FBK adds that only the faucets and coat hooks cost over 22 million rubles (more than 280 thousand dollars).
On the lower floor, there is a private hospital, which includes a doctor's office with modern equipment and a dental office.
In the hospital, there is an operating room with equipment, including a ventilator and defibrillator.
The medical center also has washing and sterilization rooms, a space for medical waste, and over three hundred units of equipment.
In the left wing, there is a spa center: a swimming pool, contrast baths, a hammam, a massage room, and more.
On the lower level, there is an entertainment area with a cinema for eight people, a club, a billiard room, an aquarium, an outdoor pool, and an aqua disco.
This discovery reinforces concerns about the extravagant lifestyles of high-ranking officials in Russia, especially amid an economic crisis. The publication of these facts resonates with the public, as at a time when millions are facing difficulties, such a lavish lifestyle seems particularly unacceptable. The investigation demonstrates the scale of the corrupt schemes that require further investigation and public oversight.
