"Ramstein" meeting with Biden's participation
According to the news, the meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the "Ramstein" format is scheduled for October 12. U.S. President Joe Biden will chair this meeting, though there is not much time left until the end of his presidency.
Political intelligence expert Oleg Posternak noted that the White House feels a certain responsibility towards Ukraine regarding the unresolved conflict with Russia, as this will become a legacy for the next administration.
"It does not matter who will lead the next administration - Kamala Harris or Donald Trump, but in the last months of the presidency, important issues for Ukraine can be resolved. This concerns military assistance, Ukraine's accession to NATO, and other issues. The Biden administration must make clear and decisive decisions,"Posternak noted.
The expert emphasized that it is important for Ukraine to receive military aid after the meeting in the "Ramstein" format.
"Now, when serious battles are taking place in various directions, Ukraine needs an enhancement of military equipment and support of political structures to obtain security guarantees in the future,"Posternak stressed.
