On the night of July 31, Russia launched another massive shelling of Kyiv, using drones and Iskander-K cruise missiles. That night, the Zhytomyr 'Polissya' was resting in Andorra before the return match of the second qualification round of the Conference League against 'Santa Coloma'.

Among other players of 'Polissya', the main center back Yevhen Chobotenko was resting, whose house in Kyiv was heavily damaged. The arrival was reported on Instagram by the footballer's wife Karina.

What happened to Chobotenko's house

According to the published photo, the footballer might have lived in the 'Republic' residential complex, which was heavily damaged. The photo shows many broken windows and devastated apartments.

It should be noted that in the Solomiansky district, apartments were damaged, cars were burned, in the Holosiivskyi district — a school and a kindergarten, in the Shevchenkivskyi district — a children's department of a medical facility. The Kyiv Military Administration is relocating those affected from damaged houses to hotels and communal apartments.
