Odesa swimmer set a national record at the World Championship.
Swimmer Vadym Naumenko, who studies at the Dynamo sports school, competed in the semifinals of the World Short Course Swimming Championship in Budapest. He set a new national record in the 200-meter individual medley, completing it in 1:55.35 minutes. This record improved the previous one, set by Naumenko in 2023 at the European Championship.
The Ukrainian swimmer also completed the 100-meter individual medley in 53.07 seconds, finishing 14th among the semifinalists. He also set a new national record that had been held by Oleg Lisogor since 2005.
Additionally, climbers from Odesa participated in the Ukrainian Cup and earned medals. Athletes from the Olympiets sports school represented the city in these competitions.
