Every day at 9 a.m., Ukrainians honor the memory of all whose lives were taken by the Russian-Ukrainian war. Today we will remember Danilo Bozhenko.
On June 13, 2023, near the village of Novodonetske in the Donetsk region, the officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, commander of the first tank platoon of the 11th tank company of the fourth tank battalion of the fourth separate tank brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 24-year-old Danilo Bozhenko, fell while protecting the Independence of Ukraine. This was reported by the Hrabovetsko-Dulibivska territorial community.
Danilo was born on November 12, 1998, in the village of Duliby of the Hrabovetsko-Dulibivska community. He studied in the primary classes of the Duliby school-kindergarten, then continued his education at the Duliby school-gymnasium named after M. Shashkevych. Later, he studied law at the National University 'Lviv Polytechnic' and spent two years at the military training department of the National Academy of Ground Forces named after P. Sahaydachny. After successfully completing his studies, he received a master's degree and the rank of junior lieutenant.
Stood to defend the Motherland
On March 17, 2022, he participated in combat missions in almost all hot spots of the full-scale war. He liberated Kherson Region from occupation. In the war, warrior Danilo distinguished himself as a very brave and courageous man. He was awarded numerous honors and received the rank of 'lieutenant'.
Until his last breath, he remained faithful to the military oath and the Ukrainian people. The defender of Ukraine died on June 13, 2023, near the village of Novodonetske in the Volnovakha district of the Donetsk region.
The warrior is survived by his father, mother, and sister.
The Commander-in-Chief joins in a moment of silence. We honor the memory of all Ukrainians who perished in the struggle for the Motherland. We remember those who fell at the hands of Russian invaders, light candles of memory, and bow our heads in sorrow during the nationwide moment of silence, honoring the bright memory of Ukrainian citizens who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of the state: all military personnel, civilians, and children, all who died in the fight against Russian occupiers and as a result of the hostile troops' attack on Ukrainian cities and villages.
