The General Prosecutor's Office has identified the names of 13 out of 16 servicemen of the AFU who were captured in the Pokrovske direction, but were later executed by the occupiers. This was reported by the head of the War Department of the General Prosecutor's Office, Yuriy Bieloусов.

According to Bieloусов: "Regarding the recent cases. We are working on the execution of 16 soldiers, and we have identified the data of our 13 military personnel, while the data for three more are being established because there is no access to the military unit".

Additionally, SBU employees found out the RF unit that may be related to the execution of 16 Ukrainian soldiers.

Bieloусов also noted that over the past year, the number of executions of Ukrainian prisoners of war has increased, and their detention conditions in the RF have significantly worsened, likely by the order of authorities.

Regarding the return of the bodies of the deceased Ukrainian soldiers, Bieloусов remarked that "the military is doing everything possible to retrieve the bodies of their comrades". The Coordination Headquarters for the Return of Prisoners of War and a special SBU unit are also engaged in this.

Recall, the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, appealed to the UN and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) regarding the probable execution of 16 Ukrainian prisoners of war in the Pokrovske direction.

Incidentally, an independent international UN commission investigating violations in Ukraine has found new evidence of torture of Ukrainian civilians and prisoners of war by Russia in the occupied territories of Ukraine and in the RF.
