According to inkorr.com: Ohanes Shchanyan, who previously avoided punishment for drugs thanks to military service, was captured by the Ukrainian Armed Forces during the war in Ukraine. He was detained while paying with a Russian card in a store. He shared his story in the project 'I want to find'.
Situation during the shelling
After completing a combat mission, Shchanyan, along with Russian soldiers, came under fire and fell behind his own. Having reached the positions of Ukrainian soldiers, they became prisoners, which allowed them to realize the realities in the territory of Ukraine.
Detention of prisoners of war
The President of Ukraine reported that this year Ukrainian troops detained a record number of Russian prisoners of war. Soldiers from North Korea who participated in hostilities on the side of Russia also approached Kyiv requesting their transfer to South Korea due to significant deterioration in their mental health.
These events indicate constant changes on the front and the difficult situation in which not only Ukrainian but also foreign soldiers find themselves. The detention of a large number of prisoners indicates the active activities of Ukrainian forces, which continue to fight for their country. Meanwhile, the requests of North Korean soldiers highlight the global consequences of the conflict and its impact on participants from various countries.
