Russian troops are trying to advance on the Pokrovsk and Kurakhiv directions. While the direction towards Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region is not particularly active, to the south of Pokrovsk - from Selydove to Kurakhove, the fiercest battles are observed, including other directions in this area.

The main forces are concentrated in Donetsk, stated military expert, participant in peacekeeping missions in Kosovo and Iraq, Serhiy Hrabskiy, on the FREEDOM TV channel.

According to him, separate combat clashes are occurring in Vovchansk, Kharkiv region.

"The enemy tried to attack several times and was repelled. The same situation is in the Kupiansk area, where the enemy also tried to attack. In general, it is not possible to single out one direction which is the calmest, except perhaps the Southern one, and even then only in certain areas. In particular, at the former Vremivka bulge, in the area of the Robotyn bulge, we observe combat clashes between Ukrainian Defense Forces and the occupiers," – Hrabskiy reported.

The expert noted that on the Lyman direction, Russian troops are trying to fragment the defense of Ukrainian defenders holding their positions on the left bank of the Oskil.

"And the Lyman direction is part of this operation, which aims to push our unit from the direction, from the area of the settlements of Ivanivka, Terny, Yampolivka, and Torske. That's why the enemy is so desperately rushing forward, trying to push us onto the right bank of the Zherebets river. In this case, they believe they are successfully conducting an offensive, although this is not entirely true. The Russians are solving an intermediate task. It is not about them being able to push us out of this entire territory, but they are trying. Moreover, it should be understood that such actions of the Russian army aim to divert the attention of our Defense Forces to prevent the redeployment of additional reserves to the hottest direction – Kurakhiv," he explained.

Hrabskiy reported that there is a very dynamic war ongoing in the Kursk region.

"The fighting takes place both on the left flank of the Ukrainian grouping, as well as on the right, where Ukrainian troops, in turn, are trying to advance further into the territory of the Russian Federation. Therefore, it is very difficult to say definitively on whose side the advantage is there," – the expert noted.
