Online Registration Opens for Three-Month Financial Aid Program

According to Novyny.live: In spring 2026, the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) will launch an online registration system for a financial support program targeting residents of frontline cities, including Sumy. Eligible households can receive up to 11,000 UAH per family member over a three-month period.

Eligibility Criteria for the Cash Assistance

Under this initiative, each individual in a household will qualify for 3,600 UAH per month. However, to be eligible, the total monthly household income must not exceed 6,300 UAH per person. The program is open to both Sumy residents and officially registered internally displaced persons (IDPs).

UNHCR is rolling out this effort to support vulnerable populations struggling with the hardships caused by ongoing military conflict. By moving the registration process entirely online, the agency aims to make accessing aid faster and more straightforward. This step is expected to provide urgent financial relief to many families in the region who are in dire need of assistance.

Launching this program underscores the critical need to support civilians affected by war and reflects the international community's commitment to delivering humanitarian aid.

The shift to online registration could also serve as a model for other social support programs, simplifying how vulnerable groups access financial resources.
