An operation that will go down in history: MP told how the Armed Forces of Ukraine were preparing for the offensive in Kursk.
A deputy from the "Holos" faction, secretary of the parliamentary committee on national security, defense and intelligence, colonel of the Security Service of Ukraine, Roman Kostenko, in an interview with Yanina Sokolova, spoke about the preparation for the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Kursk. He noted that this operation would be historic, as it is difficult to carry out a surprise attack on a transparent battlefield in modern warfare. However, the Ukrainian Defense Forces managed to do it.
Commanders told Kostenko that the soldiers had been hiding in the forests for several days, waiting for the moment to advance.
Intelligence was conducted, the enemy was deceived. It was necessary for him to think that we were strengthening the border, not planning to attack
During the border breakthrough, artillery was initially used actively, and then the airborne troops broke through the enemy's defense and moved forward.
Prior to this, DeepState analysts identified which Russian forces were redeployed to Kursk.
In addition, in the Kursk region, one Ukrainian soldier managed to persuade more than 10 Russians to surrender in one day.
This offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Kursk showed how many problematic areas there are in the Russian army. In addition, it sends a signal to Kyiv's allies that Ukraine can change the course of the war.
President Volodymyr Zelensky signed several laws related to the military, in particular, on the status of Ukrainian fighters fighting on the territory of Russia.
On August 20, the Verkhovna Rada supported bill No. 11483, which guarantees military personnel participating in combat operations in the Russian Federation, particularly in the Kursk region, the same payments and preferences as on the front line.
